| Memshield 2 Miniature Circuit Breakers |
|
The Memshield
2 MCB is an all new high performance current limiting device
with the ability to disconnect short circuits of up to 15kA. The feature packed device is both British designed and manufactured, using the latest technology. |
|
Memshield 2 miniature circuit breakers are available in one of the widest ranges available in the world; over 600 different types are available. MCBs comply with Lloyds Register of Shipping. The MCBs are suitable for use with Memshield 2 distribution boards. In addition MCBs are suitable for a wide range of OEM applications. Current
ratings available :- 1, 2, 4, 6,
8, 10, 13, 16, 20, 25,
32, 40, 50 & 63A. On SPSN the switched neutral is unprotected, on DP and FP all poles are protected. SPSN are fitted with neutral contacts which make first and break last. Units
are also suitable for use on DC systems from 24V to 120V;
When fitted with an RCD Pod to form an RCBO, the combination is suitable for use with 240V AC systems; it is not suitable for DC or 110V AC systems. MCBs are calibrated to 40°C. 50°C can be supplied - add 'X' to end of list number. |
|
|
1). Any SP or SPSN
MCB can be factory or site fitted with an RCBO pod providing
hundreds of possible combinations. 2). Magnetic Type characterisics to BS EN 609898 B, C, D for a wide choice of applications. 3). Foolproof positive contact indication gives the assurance of isolation. 4). Breaking capacities of up to 10kA (BS EN 60898) and 15kA (BS EN 60947-2). 5). Five pole configurations and 14 current ratings for increased flexibility. 6). Quality trip free mechanism prevents MCBs from being held 'ON'. 7). Optional padlock dolly for positive locking 'ON' or 'OFF'. 8). High performance current limiting design for safer installations. 9). Optional screw and terminal shields for full shrouding of MCBs. 10). All new 'easy fit' British design. 11). Generous, wire-in, wire-out, box type terminals for cables up to 25mm², and fork type comb busbar facilities on line and load side for OEM installations. |
|
12). Terminal clamp
cable and fork type comb busbar simultaneously. 13). Mounting on standard 35mm DIN-rail to BS 5584 / EN 50 022 for individual and OEM installations. 14). Finger protected combination head screws to increase safety and allow easier installation. 15). Optional rear connectors to allow cables up to 50mm² to be terminated where space is limited. 16). Thermally calibrated to 40°C with 50°C option to cover a wider range of ambient temperatures. |

| MCB Accessories |
| The device mechanism for Memshield MCBs is trip free which allows it to be padlocked 'ON' for security, but in the event of a fault condition the device will still operate to disconnect the fault. The device dolly will move to the tripped position when the dolly lock is removed. MCBs can also be padlocked in the 'OFF' position. Distribution board doors can be closed when an MCB is padlocked 'ON' or 'OFF'. |

HRC
Fuse Carriers for BS 1361 fuses (240V rated). |
|
The Memshield 2 fuse carrier range uses high performance Eaton MEM BS 1361 type fuses capable of disconnecting short circuits of up to 16kA. |
| The fuse carriers and fuses are both British designed and manufactured, using the latest technology. The protection of circuits by these units is particularly applicable where circuits exhibit high inrush e.g. high frequency lighting. The fuse carriers are suitable for use with Memshield 2 SPN & TPN type MCB distribution boards. In addition fuse carriers are suitable for a wide range of OEM type applications. | |

| Comb Busbars |
|
Comb
busbar is available for specialist applications and can be supplied
in both pin and fork type formats. Fork type comb busbar can be used with all Memshield 2 MCBs* and TPSN RCCBs. Pin type comb busbar can be used with all Memshield 2 MCBs, HRC fuse modules, switch-disconnectors, terminal |
| blocks, SPSN and TPSN RCCBs. Note: Due to a height difference TPSN RCCBs cannot be inter-connected with comb busbar when mounted in combination with other devices. | |

|
|
Unused ways on comb busbar can be shielded by fitting the Memshield 2 blanking module, it also provides a barrier in the distribution board front cover aperture. List No. MBP. * For incoming connections onto fork type comb busbar, MCB terminals clamp cable and busbar simultaneously. |
