The MEMSHIELD 2 Surge Protective Device has been developed specifically for application with Memshield 2 'A' Type and 'B' Type single and three phase MCB distribution boards, ensuring outstanding product performance for all sensitive, mission critical and general purpose loads. The UL1449 Second Edition and UL1283 listed devices provide high peak surge current ratings and exceptionally low real-world measured limiting (let-through) voltage values, together with outstanding durability, assuring the Memshield 2 range will provide a lifetime of effective, maintenance free protection for all electrical and electronic systems. ![]() |

Protection Active Response Network (ARN) provides optimum suppression of internal switching generated transients. Threshold Response Network (TRN) provides maximum suppression of high energy impulse generated transients. This assures excellent protection of sensitive electronic, electro-mechanical and mirco-processor based equipment. LED status indication is provided. Volt free relay allows remote status indication. |

Limiting (Let-Through) Voltage Test Environment: Test waveforms as described in ANSI/IEEE C62.41- 1991 (A1 Ring Wave - 100Khz, 2,000V, 67A, B3/C1 Combination Waveform 6,000V 1.2/50µs, 3,000A 8/20µs, C3 Combination Waveform - 20,000V 1.2/50µs, 10,000A 8/20µs) All modes tested dynamic except N-E, positive polarity. All voltages are peak (+/-10%), oscilloscope time-base 1ms. 180° phase angle voltages measured from the zero crossing, 90° phase angle voltages are measured from the positive peak of the AC sine wave to the positive peak of the surge. All test measurements taken at the busbar, and performed with suppressor mounted directly adjacent to and fed from, the lowest outgoing way on a Memshield 2 B Type MCB Distribution board, simulating actual installation conditions. Options offered may result in performance variance. |
