This is a fixed capacitor controlled by a fused combination switch
rated at either 63 or 125A.

(automatic)
This is a fully automatic capacitor incorporating contactor units,
DIN withdrawable fuses, and if required, hand/off/auto switch
and indicator lamps. The Memcap 62 A can be supplied for one
or two stage switching incorporating a single or multi-stage
reactive relay or as a "slave" unit controlled from
an existing relay.

a 125A fused combination switch.
Capacitor
Advantages
The compact physical size allows installation close to the supply
position and avoids the need for additional control equipment.
Low loss
- 0.5 Watts/kvar.
Self healing
- if a minor fault develops in the capacitor the metal layer
will vaporise in the area of the breakdown, this will remove
the fault and allow the capacitor to continue operating.
Individual
element fuse - in conjunction with a non self-healing outer winding,
an individual fuse ensures safe isolation of the faulty element
in the event of a major dielectric breakdown.
A wall
mounting bracket is available if required. |
