Memcap 130 Auto Range Capacitors

	The Memcap 130 range comprises one, or more, sheet steel housings containing all the necessary control equipment. These are mounted on a low loss, self healing, Memcap 2000 capacitor units of the required rating. Capacitors consist of a number of elements wound from a high quality plastic film dielectric. These dry elements are vacuum-processed and
encapsulated in a thermosetting resin and sealed into plastic cases. They are then internally connected in a tank to give the required single or three phase outputs.

Memcap 130 Standard Unit

The Memcap 130 can be supplied having a rating up to 125 kvar switching in 1 or 2 stages. The unit can be supplied as a slave unit or fitted with a 1/3/6 or 12 step reactive relay.
Units are intended for use where there is a separate means of isolation and protection available and has the advantage of minimum floor area required.

Ease of installation and maintenance is provided by means of removable side and top covers. Cable entry is from below and an undrilled detachable gland plate is provided.
The sheet steel housing above the capacitor unit incorporates:

DIN fuses and carrier - if required
Suitably rated contactors
Control fuses
Indicator lamps - if required
On/Off/Auto selector switch - if required
Single or Multi step reactive relay - if required

Memcap 130 with 250A Fuse Switch

This unit is similar to the standard Memcap 130 but the DIN style fuses are replaced by a 250A fused combination switch.
This provides isolation and protection for the capacitor and its associated control equipment without the need for an additional external means of isolation.

The use of the second module for mounting the fused combination switch does not mean that additional switching stages can be accommodated up to a maximum of 4.

Whilst wider than the basic unit the floor space required is still not excessive.

Cable entry is again from below, cable entry being in the module incorporating the fused combination switch. An undrilled detachable gland plate is again provided.
For ease of installation and maintenance both the end covers and the top are fully removable.
